Exploring the idea of the woven object, Alterfact work onsite at the Australian Tapestry Workshop (ATW) with their large format clay 3d printer for a week to produce objects that play on the threadlike qualities, which were uncovered during their 2018 ATW residency.
The process of tapestry-making can produce an image over weeks or months. 3D printing can produce large scale clay objects in minutes and hours. The live presentation over the week invites visitors to view and discuss printing in the context of weaving.
