Join NGV Community Ambassadors on the opening day of Melbourne Now 2023 for free drop-by activities inspired by groundbreaking art and design. Get creative, share ideas and gain new perspectives.

Join Emma Last, Partnerships and Engagement Coordinator at Study Melbourne, artist Scotty So, NGV Community Ambassador Xinyu Song and Study Melbourne Student Ambassador Amanda Abeysinghe as they share their experiences living and studying in Melbourne. Gain valuable insights into the unique challenges and opportunities faced by international students pursuing their passions in this vibrant city. Hosted by Sarah Fang-Ning Lin.

Drop by Community Hall, a space for creativity and curiosity, as part of your visit to Melbourne Now. Join NGV Community Ambassadors to participate in Remaking Home, a collage activity designed by artists-in-residence, Gracia and Louise. Create a special home for the Grey-headed flying foxes with your own collage and learn about these amazing animals with NGV Community Ambassadors.

Snap with Melbourne Now and take the opportunity to be the first to capture memorable exhibition moments. Find one of the friendly NGV Community Ambassadors on level 3, who will provide you with creative prompts and ideas to pose and engage with the works of art on display as you take fun photographs inside the exhibition.

LEVEL 2

Engage with Melbourne Now by exploring playful ways to sketch with NGV Community Ambassadors. Have fun with pencil and paper through a series of quick drawing games inspired by works of art in Melbourne Now during these 15-minute sessions. No prior experience necessary.

COMMUNITY AMBASSADOR TOURS
10:30am-11:00am (English), 11:30am-12 noon (Mandarin)
Meet at Ground Floor

Gain a unique perspective on Melbourne Now. Join NGV Community Ambassadors as they introduce some of their favourite works in Melbourne Now in a thirty-minute tour.

This tour will be delivered in English at 10:30am and in Mandarin at 11:30pm.

NGV Community Ambassadors are international student volunteers who welcome visitors and support a range of NGV programs and activities in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
