Vores Vævninger: Our Weavings is a collaboration between the Danish Institute for the Blind and Partially Sighted (IBOS) and exhibition designer Tove Papp Lindkvist. Developed with input from the weavers themselves, workshop leader Berthe Forchhammer and relief maker Jette Friis, the exhibition showcases both the finished textiles as well as the design and production processes involved in their creation.
Designed to be accessible to both blind and non-visually impaired visitors, the exhibition is intended to provide insights into how artists, designers and craftspeople can compensate for a lost sense. It aims to encourage a conversation around the importance of accessibility in both the creation and experience of art, and to challenge our assumptions about the relationship between sight and design.
