Physical description
(a) Cream coloured silk taffeta dress has a long bodice and open skirt. The bodice has a low curved neckline and fitted sleeves that finish at the elbow. The centre front skirt edges, neckline, sleeves and back collar are trimmed in rows of appliquéd pink triangles. Attached at the back of the bodice are two pieces that wrap around and form a laced corset at the front. (b) The cream silk taffeta underskirt is pleated and gathered into a waistband. The waistband fastens at either side with cream cotton tapes, which may or may not be original. There are openings at both sides of the underskirt, beneath the fastening tapes.
