Physical description
The evening coat has a deep-stand away collar with an off the shoulder neckline, shoulder straps and short sleeves. The coat is loosely cut, flaring from the yoke and sits just below the knee. The fabric of pale blue silk satin shot with threads of red and green, is machine embroidered with a Chinese style pattern of bamboo, cherry blossom, birds and chrysanthemums in various colours.
