Physical description
The knee-length coat combines two shades of green wool fabric. The dark green sleeves and bodice are contrasted with the 'skirt' panel of pale green. The high collar has long curved lapels and fastens at the throat with a horn button. A further four buttons are used to fasten the coat at the centre front. The external seams are welted and two decorative pointed pocket flaps are sewn into the seam forming the upper and lower green panels. The coat is fully lined with light green acetate, quilted with white thread.
