Physical description
Drop waist cream cotton and lines dress with open appliqué bodice, long sleeves and gathered and layered skirt. The bodice features an open work appliqué panel of scroll and lattice design with V-neck (bib) at front and rear. The skirt is gathered to the waist in two tiers. The underskirt of calico has small geometric cut out sections decorating the hemline with an overskirt of wide ‘ribbons’ caught up with fabric ties encircling the waist. The sleeves are constructed of several fabric layers and are also caught up with fabric ties at either side.
