Ground Level
Bonnard 1971 presents 40 works by Pierre Bonnard, all formerly in the artist’s collection and loaned from Daniel Wildenstein. Eric Westbrook, Director of the National Gallery of Victoria, frames the exhibition as a significant moment in Australia’s cultural history and the growing capacity of Australian galleries to present international exhibitions. Rather than a survey of a period or movement, it offers a focused study of a single major artist.
