Ground Level
This exhibition presents 365 works spanning folk art, porcelain, textiles, pottery, calligraphy and cultural heritage items dating from the Indus Valley civilisation through the Muslim period and the Moghul Empire. Curated by FH Khan, Director of Archeology, Pakistan, the works are borrowed from the Collection of the Archeology Museum, Mohenjo-daro, the National Museum of Pakistan, the Pakistan High Commission and private collections.
The exhibition of art and archaeological materials from Pakistan only provides a glimpse into its rich cultural heritage. However, it is hoped that the collections on display will be inspiring enough to attract the attention of our Australian friends and will be helpful in introducing them to Pakistan and its historic past.
