Adventure in Swedish Glass

Adventure in Swedish Glass is a collection of glassware by sixteen Swedish artists. The selection of 108 works displays the fine skills and exquisite craftsmanship of these designers, their sensitive imagination and highly developed knowledge of their materials.
The artists are drawn from the two largest Swedish glass companies: Kosta-Boda and Orrefors. Their work demonstrates the many forms of glass, from the organic, flowing and alive style to the strict, formal, cut crystal.
The exhibition contains only art glass including many sculptures, fantasy pieces, bowls and decorative pieces. The bold experiments and new ideas which have carried forward the Swedish glass tradition are based on sound craft traditions, and this exhibition is an outstanding collection of work by Sweden’s leading glass artists.
