Art of Malaysia

Art from Malaysia was the first exhibition of Malaysian art to travel to Australia and New Zealand. Fifty artists were included, introducing Australians to the traditional art of the wayang kulit—the epic plays of the Ramayana and Mahabharata—through to the most modern and adventurous painters of Malaysia’s flourishing 1960s art scene.
