Australian Legal Group Print Collection

Two hundred years of European settlement is a significant milestone in Australia’s history. The member firms of The Australian Legal Group, each of which traces its origins back to the last century, have themselves played an important role in the economic and social development of the nation.

To commemorate the Australian Bicentennial and to mark the first anniversary of the formation of The Australian Legal Group as a national network of independent law firms, this limited edition collection of lithographs was commissioned from ten of Australia’s foremost contemporary artists.

Each lithograph is an original work of art created exclusively for this collection. The diversity of artistic styles represented reflects the rich heritage of Australian art and the continuing fertility of a young nation’s creative imagination.

Artists from every state and from Aboriginal and ethnic backgrounds are represented in the collection, emphasising the differing geographic and social influences which contribute to a distinctively Australian cultural outlook. The collection is a tribute to the commitment and craftsmanship of local printers.
