Cecil Beaton’s Camera was the first exhibition to show at the National Gallery of Victoria’s dedicated photography gallery, following its establishment of the first Photography Department in an Australian public gallery in the late 1960s. The exhibition featured over 100 photographs spanning portraits, landscapes and wartime photography dating from the 1920s to the 1950s.
This exhibition has been assembled by Kodak, England to mark Cecil Beaton’s seventieth year and has been generously made available to the National Gallery by Kodak Australasia Pty. Ltd.
