Eunos Presents Renoir

Organised by Art Exhibitions Australia and Queensland Art Gallery, this was the first exhibition of works by Pierre-Auguste Renoir to tour Australia.

Curator Dr John House wrote in the accompanying exhibition catalogue, ‘the pictures have been selected so as to represent as fully as possible the diversity of his work, ranging from his beginnings as a semi-academic portraitist to his exploration of classical and mythological subjects at the end of his career; it includes examples of all the major themes that Renior tackled’.
