Felix H. Man was one of the earliest and greatest photojournalists. His contribution to the development of the craft of photojournalism was enormous. Much more than a photographer he often supplied the photographs with text in the form of photo-essays – a concept which he helped pioneer in the 1920s. This small retrospective exhibition comprises over eighty of Man’s photographs and includes many of his fine portraits of some of this century’s best known politicians, artists, writers, musicians and other celebrities along with examples of his human interest photography.
