Starting out: VCE top CATS from 1997 displays a diversity of media, technique, style and subject matter. Showcasing 99 outstanding works selected from 1450 submissions by 1997 VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education) students, the exhibition was managed by Education Services at the National Gallery and curated in partnership with the Department of Education, the Catholic Education Office and the Board of Studies.
