The most comprehensive exhibition of Frederick McCubbin’s work in almost forty years, this display featured some fifty works, including some of the most familiar paintings in Australian art such as The Pioneer, Lost, On the Wallaby Track and Home Again as well as works never publicly exhibited before.
Drawn from the extensive holdings of the National Gallery of Victoria, Australian National Gallery, other state galleries, regional galleries and private collections, this exhibition toured multiple state galleries across Australia.
