The Arts of Asia was a 1977 travelling exhibition of NGV Collection works from China, Japan, Iran, India, Tibet, Indonesia and Thailand.

Exhibition curator John Guy wrote in the catalogue, ‘the arts of Asia can appeal to the inquisitive viewer on many levels, through the senses, the spirit and the intellect. This exhibition is an attempt to present some of the manifold forms that Asian art has assumed over the centuries’.

Throughout 1977 and 1978 the exhibition travelled to more than twenty regional cities and towns across Victoria, including Geelong, Wodonga, Echuca, Horsham, Mildura and Wonthaggi.
