Ground Level
The Colin and Cicely Rigg Craft Award is a generous legacy of the late Colin Rigg (1895-1982), a former Secretary of the Felton Bequest Committee for the National Gallery of Victoria. It acknowledges the National Gallery of Victoria’s continued support for and commitment to contemporary craft.
Contemporary Victorian ceramics was the chosen medium for this inaugural iteration. The award has henceforth taken place every three years, with each award devoted to a particular medium or design discipline.
Neville Assad-Salha was the recipient of the 1994 Colin and Cicely Rigg Craft Award and accompanying prize money of $30,000.
