Ground Level
The Ewing Gift to the National Gallery of Victoria comprises oil paintings, sculptures, watercolours, English and French decorative arts, Asian and Near Eastern art and books. They come from two sources, Dr. Samuel Arthur Ewing (1864-1941) and his son, George Godfrey Ewing (1910-1976). They were presented to the National Gallery of Victoria through the Art Foundation of Victoria by Dr. S. A. Ewing’s daughter, Mrs. M. E. Cutten in memory of her father and her brother.
