Physical description
This lightly padded hat features a design of interlocking lozenge forms containing hooked geometric and zigzag motifs in various colours. Smaller lozenges are embellished with metallic thread embroidery, giving the hat a glimmering surface. The closely worked chain-stitch is representative of the embroidery technique favoured by Pashtun groups living in the Ghazni region of Afghanistan.
