Physical description
This circular mat evolved from the traditional nganiyal, a multi-purpose double-sided mat or container believed to be a powerful symbol of fertility. This mat is tightly woven into a dramatic soft ‘target’ and features bold bands of sharply contrasting red and sepia natural dyes.
