About this work

Watanabe is renowned for his subversion of traditional garment archetypes and use of technical textiles. In his Sports collection, he mused on the technical language of sportswear, blending references to Pierre Cardin’s 1960s space-age aesthetics with 1990s streetwear associated with rave culture and gym garb.
