About this work

This rustic flower vase is the result of a collaboration between an anonymous potter and an uncontrolled firing process, which led to the rim of the vase collapsing, with heat and ash forming an uneven layer across its surface. It features a circular motif on the front, where the vase was mostly shadowed from the kiln’s open flames and flying ash.
