About this work
Maria Grazia Chiuri presented her first ready-to-wear Christian Dior collection for spring 2017 in the gardens at Musée Rodin. A synthesis of couture, sport and pop references, the collection sampled the vernacular of each of the previous Dior designers to create a narrative of empowered femininity. Here her assertive and feminine aesthetic materialises with a T-shirt emblazoned with the slogan ‘We Should All be Feminists’, a direct reference to the title of a TED Talk given by Nigerian writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
