Physical description
Black silk velvet dress and jacket. (a) The black velvet jacket is ornamented at front with trompe l’oeil gold and silver mirrors over each side front, with centres of rectangular mirror and glass beads. The ornamentation features gold and silver metallic thread and glass sequins at neckline. The jacket fastens with five black moulded buttons of a woman’s face, fastening with metallic hooks and eyes behind. The shoulders are padded with shirring across each side from. The jacket is lined in silk lining. (b) Floor length black velvet dress with high front neckline and low back neckline. It fastens with a black zipper at proper left side back.
