About this work
The Tomorrow’s Black collection explored pattern, repetition and geometric form. This ensemble has been created by using individual pointed-oval pattern pieces stitched together in different ways. The outfit’s form is achieved through the various ways the panels have been sewn together, some panels are stitched along the entire length, while others are only connected part-way, leaving the end points open. The technique cleverly creates both volume and irregularity, with the armholes created by leaving gaps in the seam lines.
