About this work
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana launched Dolce & Gabbana together in 1982. Their designs draw from their Italian heritage, Sicilian culture and the glamour associated with ‘la dolce vita’, or ‘the sweet life’. References to Catholic imagery or Baroque style are often evident in their audaciously opulent designs. For Dolce & Gabbana’s autumn–winter 2016 collection, which included this playful bag, they drew on the world of fairytales.
