About this work

With over twenty-five years of experience, Wiradjuri woman Denni Francisco launched the Ngali fashion label in 2018. Her work focuses on celebrating the creativity of remote First Nations artists and building connections through meaningful collaboration. In 2021, she worked with Gija artist Lindsay Malay and the Warmun Art Centre in the Kimberley to create textile prints. These designs weave together ancestral stories with contemporary expressions of identity. Ngali prioritises the sharing of culture, stories and honouring the deep connections between art, fashion, community and tradition.
