About this work

In February 2020 Belgian designer Raf Simons joined Miuccia Prada as artistic co-director of Prada. This ensemble is from the designers’ first collaborative collection, spring–summer 2021. Cleverly reworking a ‘hole’ into a decorative pattern, the outfit also marries the classical with the industrial. Reflecting the pair’s shared interest in tailoring and material innovation, the otherwise conventional A-line skirt features a belt resembling an aircraft seatbelt.
