About this work
Describing her design approach to Gucci’s pre-fall 2012 collection, Frida Giannini stated, ‘I wanted to intersect romanticism with minimalism by pairing unexpected elements ... nuance and subtleties ... hard and soft.’ The collection combined flowing silhouettes with floral motifs and the fashion house’s equestrian codes. This evening dress features the collection’s signature pansy print.
