About this work

This curtain skirt is a prime example of Maison Martin Margiela’s predilection for recycled and upcycled fabrics. This work showcases one of the designers’ key concepts: transformation of an existing garment or discarded material into new forms. Here, Margiela reimagines the everyday curtain as clothing.
