About this work
Employing experimental film and printing techniques, Paolo Roversi utilises long exposure times and a Polaroid camera to create images with a textured, ethereal quality. A longtime collaborator with Comme des Garçons since the early 1980s, Roversi offers a distinctive interpretation of fashion photography. This photograph features Anna Cleveland in Look 4 from the Comme des Garçons Blood and Roses collection, spring 2015. Emerging from a black background, the model turns back to the camera in a moment charged with tension and anticipation.
