About this work
This highly functional design by Tapiovaara, also known as the Domus chair, is constructed of simple parts that were easily mass-produced. The innovative use of moulded, laminated plywood for the seat recalls Alvar Aalto’s seating designs, and Charles and Ray Eames’s landmark LCW chair of the previous year.
