About this work
Ludwig Hirschfeld Mack joined the Bauhaus in the winter semester of 1919–20 as an apprentice in the printmaking workshop under Lyonel Feininger. This lithograph reveals his awareness of the geometric abstraction being developed at the time by artists associated with Russian Constructivism and the Bauhaus.
