Exhibited Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh, 1888, no. 313; purchased at auction, Edinburgh, by Charles Cook, before 1920[i]; his collection, Edinburgh, until 1920; from whom purchased, on the advice of Frank Rinder, for the Felton Bequest, 1920.[ii]
