Physical description
Black taffeta afternoon dress comprising boned bodice with a high collar trimmed with white lace fastening down centre front with metal hooks and loops. The shoulders are decorated with appliqué work of machine-embroidered flowers whilst the centre front is decorated with bows. The long double sleeves each feature fine pin-tucks and 12 covered silk buttons on the outer edges. The straight skirt has a slight train and a sash tie around waist with a central round ornament covered with silk.
