Physical description
This pair of calligraphy consists of two lines of poetry which match each other in what is called a couplet. Read from the right scroll to the left: 'After rain a pair of fowls come to rest on the bamboos; In mid-autumn a butterfly descends to seek flowers.' The characters are written in the regular script of Chinese calligraphy.
