About this work

Dorje (Tibetan) or vajra (Sanskrit), often translated as diamond or thunderbolt, is the name given to a ritual object in the shape of a double-ended sceptre. The dorje is the symbol of Tibetan Buddhism. It represents spiritual power symbolically cutting through all ignorance and evil and the immutable state of absolute reality understood by Buddha upon his enlightenment.
