Physical description
The brooch is roughly trapezoidal in shape with an angular projection at the top and a cloud-shaped overlay at the bottom centre and right. The textured steel plates are inlaid (damascened) with random gold lines and the back plate is gilt behind the cloud overlay. The brooch is signed on the back l.r. corner: VG monogram within a square.
