Physical description
Fairy tale depicts a landscape of symbolic fantasy in which plaits, braids and luxuriant curls of hair assume the place of natural features. Pictured against a vibrant blue ground, the intensely feminine and yet strangely threatening mass of hair overwhelms low rolling hills at the base of the picture.
