Physical description
Tea gown outfit comprising full-length slip and long-sleeve over-dress. Slip of fine lightweight cotton in pale green with shoe-string straps (of double tulle), an embroidered tulle panel along the top edge and full skirt section gathered with elastic at the waist. The slip is fastened at the back bodice section with a metal zip and hook and eye. The over-dress is of cream silk tulle decorated with an all-over pattern of pale green embroidered sprigs and finished at all edges with a scalloped pink and coral embroidered floral motif. The over-dress has full sleeves with cuffs gathered on elastic at the wrist. It has a round neck and a centre front overlapping opening to a point 20cm below the gathered waistline, fastened with a series of metal hooks and thread loops with a single imitation mother-of-pearl button with thread loop at neck.
