Physical description
The head of the male bust looks to the right. The chin is clean-shaven, but the side whiskers extend down into an impressive pair of 'muttonchops'. The shoulders and chest are gently draped and the bust is mounted on a turned socle. The bust is inscribed on the back : c. Summers. Sct / ROMA / 1877
