Physical description
Mademoiselle la Medusa is a major work from the series of extraordinary 'collages' made by the artist over
the past decade. In it he has arranged and added to the surface of a canvas innumerable found objects. The apparently chaotic jumble, the splashes and dribbles of paint create an impression of disorder underlying which is the precision of the artist's paintings of rooms and studio spaces similar to those he frequently depicts.
