About this work

The zwischengoldglas technique employed to decorate this glass involved the etching of a design onto gold or silver leaf, which was then carefully sandwiched between two layers of glass, forming the walls of a goblet or beaker.

Physical description
The faceted funnel bowl decorated in gilding with a hunting scene and riders in a continuous woodland scene with buildings, between leaf and foliate scroll borders, faceted baluster stem and corrical foot, low faceted cover with spire finial.
