Physical description
The full length evening dress in pale pink silk taffeta is overlayed with white silk organza and decorated overall with appliqué cotton machine embroidered white flowers hand sewn to the material. The dress is an exaggerated Juliet style, with a high waistline and puffed top sleeves that are fitted at the lower arm. The skirt falls in a bouffant shape, supported by a silk organza petticoat which has a deep hem ruffle. Further support is provided with an additional skirt petticoat constructed from stiffened interface fabric. The waistline is highlighted by a wide pale pink taffeta cummerbund slightly gathered and fastening at the back with seven covered buttons and loops. The billowing sleeves are gathered into deep cuffs also fastening with seven coloured buttons and loops.
