Physical description
The textile hanging is made with a series of hand dyed and handprinted fabrics pieced together in a narrow length. Several metres of brown silk organza are printed overall with a black grid pattern. A wide border of black velvet is printed with the devoré method (a chemical discharge process, which dissolves the pile) leaving a sheer geometric impression. The top of the hanging has a narrow slipcase for a dowel to facilitate the hanging of the work.
