Physical description
Machine-sewn and hand-embroidered pieced quilt (tivaevae tataura). Basically square shaped, the quilt has a solid blue background dominated by a central decoration of a circlet of four large lilies surrounded by clusters of buds and leaves. The flowers in hot pink are decorated with variegated lines of stitching in red/black. The stamens are highlighted in yellow. The black leaves are also decorated with a variegated outline in yellow and brown.
