Letto del toreno ben sodato, e battuto con pali, prima di stendere la grossa riempitura alta palmo uno a simiglianza di lastrico com / posto di calce pozzolana, e scaglie di selci, e sopra di esso piantati a forza i selci B. tagliati nel roverscio a punta di diamante. C. Altre selci posti a giusa di / Cunei, i quali stringono e gagliardamente rinserrano i selci sudetti, che lastricano la Via gia detta, fra quail ogni 30 palmi euvene uno D. piu emi / nente e superiore degli altri di tal fatta, quale dovea servire forse a quelli, che montavano, e smontavano da cavallo, e di riposo a Vian / danti. Questo e gli altri inferiori sono piantati sopra un grosso muro di riempitura di simili scaglie di selci, ma piu grandi delle metovate di sopra / Piranesi Archit. Dis.inc.
