Kanytjupayi Benson’s handwoven figurative works are represenative of her Tjukurpa, ancestral narratives that are connected to her Country and encoded with life lessons. Her work Bush banana represents a mother and her two children who were murdered by two unnoticed men after becoming distracted while collecting bush bananas.
